We are currently partnering with one of our global packaging clients to assist in their search for a Sales Manager, who will report directly to the Regional Sales Director for the BU.
The company is a global leader in renewable products, specializing in packaging, biomaterials, wood products, and paper. With a presence worldwide, the company focuses on sustainability and operates across various industries, including food and beverage, e-commerce, and healthcare.
They are now looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager to spearhead the development of the DACH and Benelux region.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role includes growing revenue, securing new business across key sectors, deepening relationships with major customers.
- Key performance indicators will include sales revenue growth, new account acquisition, customer retention.
- The successful candidate will take over an existing book of business, estimated at €30 million in revenue, comprising a mix of small and large customers.
- The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of plastics market or other commodity markets. Someone who has a hunter mentality and is keen to win business and drive growth.
- The role requires developing a deep understanding of the company’s products, generating leads, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in paper or packaging is ideal but open to other parts of the value chain.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial sales experience within plastics preferably. While experience in plastics or related industries is preferred, also open to candidates with diverse backgrounds, including those from sales, white line chip, containerboards, brand owners, or converters.
- A “hunter” mentality with the ability to aggressively pursue new business.
- Fluent in German, Dutch and English
