Eurofins Food, Feed, and Water Benelux seeks an experienced IT Director to lead IT operations, services, and strategy for our Food Testing division in the Netherlands and Belgium. The role involves aligning IT strategies with business goals, driving digital transformation, and managing technology platforms across multiple units. The ideal candidate will have strong IT leadership skills, be capable of managing change, collaborate effectively across functions, and have experience with large-scale software migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Director (solely authorized to represent the company)
- Leading three teams (IT Operations, IT Delivery, IT Infrastructure), totaling approximately 20 employees
- Managing IT topics including:
- Operation, maintenance, and deployment of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- International harmonization of software applications
- Change management related to harmonization
- Concept development for IT projects (feasibility analysis and recommendations)
- Operation of commercial software systems (licenses, maintenance)
- Digitalization of processes and interfaces
- Stakeholder requirements management
- IT support and service desk in the BNL region
- IT infrastructure projects
- Collaboration with other IT teams (Group IT, Security, etc.)
- IT budgeting, control, and cost optimization
- Act as a contact point for the company and manage IT matters for laboratories
- Organize and structure teams
- Facilitate communication between teams
- Lead change initiatives and manage their implementation
- Willingness to travel within the Netherlands, Belgium, and occasionally outside Benelux
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in IT management, with 3+ years in leadership roles overseeing regional or global IT operations
- Proven success in managing cross-functional teams and delivering IT solutions aligned with business strategies
- Experience with IT infrastructure, digital transformation, and large projects
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Business management skills for managing a team of about 20 employees
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Basic IT knowledge to assess trends and make recommendations
- Strong understanding of IT security processes
- Hands-on mentality and project management skills
- Proficiency in English and Dutch
