The Job

As Production Engineer Offshore Energy, you will be responsible for analysing and setting up production calculations and working methods for new projects. These projects are technologically complex and relate to cable laying, cable burial, and pipeline installation. You will work on a wide range of projects that challenge your analytical skills and creativity, in close collaboration with various other disciplines within the organisation. The scope of work ranges from relatively straightforward geotechnical conditions to highly complex sites requiring customised burial solutions. Projects are typically executed with in-house equipment, although external or large-scale fleet equipment may also be used when required. The organisation is committed to innovative solutions as a key part of its competitive edge.

Your Impact

  • Support commercial and project teams during both the tendering and execution phases by interpreting large volumes of data.
  • Analyse and interpret available documentation and equipment.
  • Ensure a robust, efficient, and competitive production process by combining equipment and logistics effectively.
  • Use, improve, and implement in-house estimating software.
  • Prepare and present deliverables to (internal) stakeholders.
  • Visit offshore equipment during project execution phases to gain and expand operational knowledge.

You may occasionally visit project sites during execution to advise teams on potential optimisations. During these visits, you will follow up on production and installation processes to support knowledge sharing and enrich internal databases for use in future tenders.

About You

This position is part of the Offshore Energy Production Team within the Engineering and Estimating Department. The working culture is described as open, dynamic, and informal, with a strong emphasis on collaboration.

You are motivated to grow into a well-rounded sparring partner for project and tender managers, and you present your ideas with confidence and clarity. You bring a solution-oriented mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to keep an overview while thinking ahead.

You also have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A strong interest in mechanical systems.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a tender team.
  • A structured, creative, and flexible work style.
  • Experience with estimating and production planning.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Willingness to work on international projects.
