Mechanical Engineering Technician (Full-Time)
Location: Delft, Netherlands / Hybrid-friendly with travel to the Arctic
Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician with a passion for sustainability and a drive to make a tangible impact on our planet? Arctic Reflections, a pioneering Dutch initiative dedicated to preserving Arctic sea ice by pumping water onto the ice in winter, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our mission.

What You’ll Do
• Read, interpret, and improve designs, and ensure they are effectively communicated to fabricators
• Read and create CAD designs to support project development and implementation
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure they fabricate what we need
• Install new systems and equipment on site
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a sometimes very challenging (Arctic) environment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Participate in fieldwork in the Arctic region for several weeks per year
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering processes and practices
What We’re Looking For
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Preferably > 4 years of experience in a relevant working environment, such as a production facility, where your hands-on mindset proved to be crucial in delivering on time according to specifications
• Experience with reading and creating CAD designs
• Experience with electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus
• Eligible to work in the EU
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a startup environment
• Willingness to travel to the Arctic region for several weeks per year
• Hands-on attitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems after installation
