Together with an innovative medical equipment company located in Sittard, Netherlands, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen their dynamic production team!
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in a high-tech production environment, working closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams. You will support both new product introductions and continuous improvement of existing processes. Your focus will be on hands-on engineering, production support, and process validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and incoming inspection issues through structured root cause analysis
- Execute and maintain preventive maintenance plans for tooling and equipment
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance yield, quality, safety, and efficiency
- Support the design, setup, and validation of new production lines and testing equipment
- Draft, implement, and monitor work instructions while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
- Participate in project meetings for the industrialization of new products and processes
- Coordinate product and process changes, ensuring documentation (BoM, routing, instructions) is accurate and up to date
- Provide technical support to production teams and facilitate knowledge sharing
- Advise on tooling and equipment needs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, or similar)
- Practical, hands-on mentality with a broad technical interest
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with clear communication and initiative
- Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma or similar is a strong advantage
- Experience/knowledge in the following areas:
- Prototype production and transition to serial manufacturing
- Technical documentation and CAD
- Manufacturing systems (PLC programming, saw/plasma machines, coaters)
- ERP, PLM, and MES systems, Electronics, mechanical systems, and chemical processes
Practicalities
Location: Sittard, the Netherlands
Set up: 40h per week
Contract: Direct 1-year contract with intention for permanent employment
Start Date: ASAP
Languages: Dutch & English (required)
