Position: Cloud Security Architect
Responsibilities include:
- Defining the cloud security framework and architecture to meet business requirements and performance goals.
- Identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and managing security technologies in Cloud environments aligned with architecture standards.
- Architecting, designing, and communicating security technologies to ensure a secure and usable Cloud environment.
- Providing strategic leadership and building roadmaps for target architecture using SABSA, NIST, Zero Trust, and Cloud Security Architecture principles.
- Designing, reviewing, and supporting security in public clouds like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Staying current with emerging security technologies and recommending their use based on business value.
- Understanding cloud computing technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Formalizing security principles and requirements for secure Cloud access and usage.
- Establishing technical requirements and creating enterprise security architecture and design.
- Reviewing solution architecture and design documentation.
- Embedding security best practices into architecture development processes.
- Developing Cloud Security Frameworks based on industry standards such as CSA and NIST CSF, and compliance with regulations like HIPAA, HITRUST, and PCI.
- Designing security controls for cloud applications, data, and infrastructure.
- Conducting threat modeling tied to risk and industry drivers.
- Designing, deploying, and automating secure enterprise systems on public clouds.
- Defining target reference security architecture across hybrid IT environments.
- Developing architecture patterns and blueprints to enhance security controls.
- Creating security strategies and roadmaps.
- Guiding product selection and RFP security requirements.
- Collaborating with vendors to introduce new technologies.
Qualifications:
- BA or BS in IT or related field.
- 15+ years relevant experience.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, or cloud security architect certifications are highly desirable.
