You will work hand-in-hand with hardware designers, guide a small team of developers, and ensure that our solutions remain robust, maintainable, and production-ready. /ppKey responsibilities: /pulliDefine and maintain embedded software architecture for real-time communication systems /liliProvide technical leadership to the embedded software team /liliTranslate system requirements into software specifications in collaboration with hardware and systems engineers /liliDesign and implement embedded software components including bootloaders, device drivers, and control layers /liliSelect appropriate microcontrollers, SoCs, RTOS or Linux-based platforms /liliEnsure proper integration with hardware and support system-level testing and verification /liliEstablish and enforce software development standards and quality assurance processes /liliContribute to production-readiness, including support for testing, calibration, and manufacturing integration /liliParticipate in broader product and company development activities as part of a growing technical team /li /ulpIdeal Candidate Profile: /pulliBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field /liliSignificant experience in embedded architecture and team leadership, ideally in aerospace or telecom environments /liliStrong proficiency in embedded C/C++, real-time systems, and hardware-near programming /liliSolid understanding of interfaces and protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART) and experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and SoCs /liliFamiliarity with software-hardware co-design and system-level testing /liliKnowledge of optical or laser communication is a strong advantage /liliHands-on, pragmatic mindset with a collaborative and proactive attitude /liliFluent in English; Dutch is a plus /li /ulpWe offer: /pulliExcellent salary package: Aligned with industry standards and reflective of your expertise and experience. /liliComprehensive Benefits Package: Including pension plan, and a generous amount of paid time off. /liliRelocation Support (depending on the requirements of the role) /liliSWITCH activities: Friday afternoon get togethers (Drinks and food) /liliBBQ’s parties when the weather allows it and seasonal company events / activities with other SWITCHERS /li /ul
