We are currently looking for a System Engineer (Antenna Technology) to join our Defence & Security team in Delft.
You will be working within the Defence & Security business unit, focusing on innovative solutions that leverage space technologies.
Your role involves working in the domains of Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) and Space Situational Awareness (SSA), developing phased array antenna technologies for applications such as GNSS RF interference mitigation, satellite surveillance, tracking, and space weather monitoring. Key application areas include Defence, Space, and Critical Infrastructure.
Responsibilities include system requirement definition, simulation, analysis, design, testing, verification, and validation in lab and field settings. You will also contribute to streamlining system engineering processes and work across domains to design innovative solutions and contribute to product development.
- Define and manage requirements based on stakeholder input and design phased array antenna systems.
- Develop analysis tools, simulate, and evaluate system and component performance.
- Design procedures and execute testing, verification, and validation activities.
- Lead projects or tasks within large projects.
- Contribute to streamlining engineering processes and manage these in projects.
- Support and guide colleagues in system engineering activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or extensive work experience equivalent.
- Experience with system engineering practices, guidelines, and processes.
- Experience with antenna technology and phased array antennas.
- Experience with Python.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Dutch is an advantage.
- Affinity with working for Defence. Security clearances (Dutch, NATO, EU) may be required.
