About the Role
Eddy Grid is looking for an experienced Senior Allround Developer to work on innovative projects that enhance our connections with grid operators and metering companies, develop new simulation infrastructures, and reliably manage flexible energy capacity.
Beyond coding, this role offers a unique opportunity: helping us scale the company quickly and sustainably. If you’re a senior developer looking for a challenge beyond technical problem-solving—one that involves shaping a fast-growing company in a high-impact industry—this is the role for you.
You will work closely with our development team, which is primarily based in Delft. While we embrace hybrid working, we strongly value in-office collaboration, with the entire team coming together in Utrecht on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain communication protocols with grid operators and metering companies.
- Develop and implement new simulation infrastructure to enhance our analytical capabilities.
- Design and implement control systems for the reliable management of flexible energy capacity.
- Contribute to the scalability and long-term sustainability of our technology and platform.
Requirements
- Pragmatic mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to abstract and simplify complex problems, questioning the status quo.
- Independent work ethic with a business-oriented and critical mindset.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Django, and Git.
- Familiarity with the energy sector is a plus.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Experience with cloud or system administration and Docker is preferred.
